X is for X Hands - Original
“X is for X Hands” - part of my drawing series Japan A to Z
8” x 10” (unframed size)
Frame included in price
Paint pens on paper
In Japan, crossing your arms in an X is a polite, visual way to say “no” - no words needed! We often saw this gesture during our travels after the realization of an immense language barrier. Since I love to avoid drawing people, I tried playing with pokemon saying “no”. I chose some of my kids’ favorites over the years.
I loved living in Japan and having the chance to explore this part of my heritage. This series is a collection of icons, inventions, and memories experienced in this amazing country.
