This limited edition of 20 is a 3 color split fountain reduction linoleum block print.
A reduction print is a print with multiple layers of color carved from a single block. I used 2 linoleum blocks, repeating the process of carving and printing with different colors. This print cannot be reproduced as the blocks are destroyed in the process.
Split fountain printing is when the press is inked with 2 or more colors in one run. The result is a beautiful gradation of colors.
Printed by hand on my 50+ year old Challenge Proof Press.
