Inktober Day 23 - Rust
Have you seen padlocks on fences and bridges? I’m pretty sure I saw them first in Italy - and when I looked them up, these are known as lovelocks, where a couple pledges their love and puts a lock to symbolize that love. A lot of the fences and locks have rusted over many years.
This is an original pen and ink drawing - part of my collection of work based on a list of prompts for Inktober 2024. Inktober is a free international drawing challenge created by Jake Parker. For each day in October, artists interpret a prompt in their own unique way.
